About Us

Dr. Jon Schroeder has owned and operated the veterinary practice since 1976. He graduated from Kansas State University. Dr. Schroeder enjoys bow hunting, and training, riding and working with horses.

Karen Schroeder works as the bookkeeper and enjoys keeping the flowerbeds pretty and colorful during the summer months. Karen also works at CHS, and she and Jon have five children.

Marilyn Fangman has had many years of experience in the field of veterinary medicine. Marilyn and her husband, Kenny, live in Sweet Springs. Marilyn enjoys flower gardening and camping.

Katie Frerking earned her B.S. in Ag Business from UCM in Warrensburg. She is in the vet tech program at Maple Woods Community College. She enjoys raising and showing hogs and working with her collies.

Dr. Elizabeth Oetting joined the practice in May, 2007. Liz graduated from the University of Missouri and previously practiced in Odessa. Liz and her husband, Andy, a local dairy farmer, have a daughter and live in Emma.

Brad Storck graduated from CHS in 2008. Brad raises cattle, shows hogs, and enjoys competing in Team-Penning events on the weekends.

Jennifer Boynton stops in four afternoons a week to help with the cleaning; we can thank her for the shiny, clean windows. Jennifer and her husband, Blaine, have three children and live north of Emma.

Lyman Anderson stops in two afternoons a week to help with kennels and extra projects. Lyman recently retired from General Motors.

Kailey Fitzmorris graduated from Kansas State University in May with a degree in Animal Science with a pre-vet option. Kailey enjoys golfing and working with livestock.
